Being in an abusive relationship can be difficult. You may have been caught by the charm or good nature of your partner in the beginning of the relationship only for them to change later on. You might be experiencing physical, psychological, and other types of abuse. There might be constant yelling, throwing objects, and psychological manipulation such as gaslighting.  However you might think the good times outweigh the bad times. You hope for them to change but they keep making empty promises. At the same time the possibility of navigating the world alone may seem scary. You need someone to talk to.
